Grains & legumes
Quality grains is a cornerstone of Nutrade Africa's business. Our vertically integrated Group companies produce and process various grains and pulses in smallholder farmer cropping programs in Southern Africa. Nutrade Africa enjoys excellent strategic alliances with grain processors in Africa, Asia and South America and is able to offer counter-season supply from northern and southern hemisphere origins throughout the year.
Nutrade Africa's customers include Government feeding schemes, NGO and humanitarian aid feeding programs, manufacturers, pre-packers and bulk supply wholesalers.
Nutrade Africa is a key part of a well established vertically integrated value chain group structure that controls each stage of production; including certified seed selection, farmer training and mentorship, field production, crop aggregation, primary processing, post-harvest management and storage, packaging and distribution.
Its seasonal legume procurement is through a combination of group controlled smallholder outgrower programs in several sub-Sahara African countries; contract commercial productions, where the company guarantees a secure demand-driven off-take market seamlessly linking growers to customers. Nutrade Africa also procures grain through overseas import/export trading contracts.
